Astimo

Astimo have been appointed by Urdd to provide Quantity Surveying services for the development of new accommodation and the refurbishment of existing buildings at this Youth Outdoor Activity Centre.

 

The Glan-llyn Activity Centre is situated on the shores of Lake Bala in Snowdonia National Park and therefore the design and materials had to be carefully selected to compliment this spectacular landscape.

 

Phase one comprises of a new build dining hall with staff accommodation together with the full refurbishment of the existing traditional stone hostel and associated external works.

The second phase involves new build changing rooms and briefing room along with the upgrade and refurbishment of a number of existing buildings including the boathouse. Externally, as well as parking an outdoor classroom area is provided and a raised gangway to link the buildings.
